Ridge Ave development

Planned for the corner of Ridge and Hollywood Avenues in the dynamic Edgewater neighborhood on Chicago’s north side, this low-rise condominium building is planned around the concept of Universal Design. Looking to provide more opportunities for residents to age-in-place, as well as offering housing attractive to multi-generational buyers, this new structure would replace a former abandoned factory building.

Pulled back from the northwest corner to provide landscaped public space and respond to the nearby 6-way intersection, the building form is carved out to create private terraces at each level. A translucent elevator shaft celebrates the underlying accessible component of the building, and serves to separate the residential lobby and retail space at sidewalk level.
